Starting a quilty blog

How do you start a quilty blog ?

I started by going for pink :-) Probably to do with my just having watched "Legally Blonde" 1 & 2 with DD :-) And the fact, that after several years of working with muted colours, I'm back with pink and an "fuchsia and chartreuse are neutrals" approach :-)

So, I'm starting a quilty blog here and now :-) with pinks and batiks, and by showing my two most recent sort-of finishes of the year.

First is the finish of this years great adventure. The Baltimore-style medallion block that got started almost 2 years ago, but got finished in November of 2006. For the longest time, it was a Baltimore Beast, but now ... it's a Baltimore Beauty :-)
I am very full of myself, having actually done it

Next one : a fast-and-furious hand-piecing finish, made with Inklingo

... and how, do you ask, can hand-piecing hexagons be "fast-and-furious" .... well ... go to the Inklingo webpage and watch the video :-)

It is incredibly simple, fast and precise ...
...
...
... and somewhat addictive :-)

And then, to look forward, I think.

Forward into the year 2007.
... or at least forward into the plans of 2007.
There really isn't a lot. Oh yes, sure, there are lots of projects I want to make, and eventually, many of them will be both started and finished, but right now there are three strings to my bow
  • To keep on keeping on :-)
  • To sew (or knit, or embroider) (at least) one thread a day.
  • To finish (at least) one project before starting a new one.
Care to join me ???
